It may sound backward to the world, but surrender is the starting point for a life rich in true meaning and purpose.

We tend to think of “Come to Me” as the invitation to salvation. That IS a big part of the idea, but it’s not ALL of the idea. We are meant not only to come to Jesus for new life, but to come and KEEP ON coming to Him for the rest of our lives.

Through the darkness, silence, and agony, the Lord Jesus cries out to His Father whom He cannot see or feel in that moment. While everything looks and feels like complete defeat, He cries out, "Father, into Thy hands I commit My spirit."
